Damn. When she croaks her relatives can upholster furniture with her skin. Or make a baseball mitt for that kid.

I am emailing that to each and every one of my sun-kissed friends.

She actually looks like a girl from my high school reunion heh

I don't know why some people still need a wake up call. Them thar rays is dangerous if you expose yourself to them too much. The sun's rays even feels much hotter than they did twenty years ago.

My sister and I never tanned, never were sunworshippers. Sunshine once inawhile feels nice when you are on the river or beach, but not for long periods.

It was hard going to school in a souther california beach town being so pale. I was made fun of for wearing hats and long sleeves to the beach as a kid. The hard body girl with the best tan looked like a saddlebag at our ten year reunion. She had lines all over her mouth and her neck drooped. But she also smokes and parties. She had a promising career as a stripper at Captain Creems until she got pregnant for the 4th time.

Hehe...not that I am THAT vindictive. I plan on asking her at our 20 year reunion if food stamps are as generous in Orange County as I heard, then I will tell her how jealous I am that she has so much free time and that I "wasted" my 30's getting my masters degree instead of having fun like she did. I don't know...too mean you think?

Yeah, smoking will make you look old young.

It would probably be fun to be mean to those that wouldn't give you the time of day in high school. But for the most part I think they mature a lot since then and they turn out to be not so bad. But then there are the women... heh

Yeah at the ten year reunion she won "most kids" and "traveled shortest distance to be here" in addition to the saddle bag skin and no career since her pole dancing days.

She was the blonde hot girl everyone wanted. She worked out like crazy and had the darkest tan. On her 18th birthday she had the prestige of being the only stripper in our high school.

Even back then, I didnt care that she was as stripper...I was a rocker chick and aspired to be a groupie for Motely Crue, so in all actuality, she was on my chosen career track LOL She was just so damn mean and nasty to everyone. Her only friends were the "Heathers" type of girls. She actually reminded me of the bitch Heather that choked on Drano in the movie "Heathers".

I have not talked to her since before graduation though. Parenthood humbles some people. I would be interested to see if having kids has made her a more mature person.

GOSH, I should have totally by-passed this thread....hubby calls me his "sun-goddess".....I LOVE laying out at the lake/river....it just totally relaxes me.

BUT, I will have to say, I'm not one of those all year round kinda tanners.

You aren't alone Dina K...I live for the sun and I know all the bad. We were raised on a boat for the entire spring and summer and were always outside kinda kids.

As an adult, I love the feel of the sun on my skin.

I don't smoke tho LOL! MilkMan does heavily and his face shows it. Somebody did make a comment last weekend about him robbing the cradle and marrying to such a younger woman heeee...

In all seriousness...I know it's bad and try to keep it to a minimum, but it is my crack in life, my float, the radio in my back yard pool and a big old sunshine for the day.

Krissy....I'm willing to bet, the old gal has her own share of regrets and jealously going on looking at the rest of you guys that went on to make something of themselves...but I DO get the need to rub it in as a payback. I hated school and was always such an outcast with all the bitches there....I only went to my ten year reunion and it was a BIG ass'd reminder WHY I hated school. I never had a desire to go to any other reunions.

Being a redhead, the sun has never been a friend of mine! It was a bitch when I was a kid, but it doesn't really bother me as an adult. (I should buy stock in sunblock)
I have never had a tan & never will . . . Red, redder & reddest is all rusty can ever expect!!!

I used to enjoy being in the sun too, but now I never bask in it. It's simply not worth the risk.

My high school is having a big reunion this fall. I really have no desire to attend.

Yeah, they're having my 35th in Oct., but I don't know if I'm going to go.
The only one I've gone to, so far, was the 25th & boy was that worth some good laughs & big surprises!!!

I used the old, "Who are all these OLD people? I didn't go to school with them!" at that one, so maybe I'll just wait & go to my 50th next . . . We can all roll in from the retirement homes! Wheel Chair

Well, this is the 50th anniversary of my high school, so there will be people from every year attending. It was all boys when I went, but now it's co-ed and in a new location.
