Got an e-mail from her today. They are fine. They were going to ride it out but saw her picking up steam and decided to evacuate. Good thing too because Biloxi was walloped. I hope Krissy's property is fine. God help all who lost loved ones or were displaced.

Please keep Krissy's family in your prayers. She has grandparents, Dad, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that she has no idea about their fate as of now. Apparently they still have a house to return to, but that will be small consolation if she's lost loved ones.

Her family has a generator and hopes to head back soon.

Latest Krissy update. Finally some good news from a bad situation...

"Found most of my family today!! They are scattered all over the Southern USA, but they are alive.

I am going to the Doc in the morning to get on something for my nerves. My sister is leaving the state this week and I wont see her for a year. I am mad at her, but I cant be selfish. She has to do what she thinks is best for her family. I cant fathom I wont see my neice for a year. I didnt know when I kissed her goodbye it was going to be this long before I saw her again. I have seen her nearly every day of her life since she was born.

Grandma and Papa were rescued and my Aunt got them up to North Mississippi where they are with close family. They plan on returning when the power is back on.

Dad's house had little damage and everyone is safe. He is providing shelter for neighbors.

my aunts, uncles, and cousins stayed home and survived.

Our best friends had stayed home for the storm. The water started rising in the house and it drove them to the attic. The guys were all trying to punch holes in the roof to escape the water, but they realized the winds were over 200 mph outside. They all survived though and will be heading to Tennessee when they can find a vehicle large enough for all ten of them. They cleaned out our house of food and supplies but I am so thankful that those things were there for them. They are taking care of her 80 year old Dad and their own 2 year old son. They have kids of all ages inbetween.

Finding everyone and keeping track has become a full time job, especially without a computer at my disposal. I am getting supplies together and organizing the travel arrangements for my kids to stay in Orange County CA until conditions improve. I deal with this a lot better when I am pro-active apparently LOL "

Krissy has a Paypal account if you wish to donate money. If you would like to send money you can deposit it in her account through PayPal at KristinaSummers@hotmail.com

From Krissy...

"I talked to Joe about setting up a paypal account for us and thought he would totally disagree and refuse, but he is planning on returning next week and it would help us bring supplies to our friends and what family we have left there. We plan on bringing gas, food, water, diapers, soap for peole etc. So it would not all "Krissy and Joe" relief...It would help our neighborhood. I have no idea how our friends with babies are keeping them in diapers and formula."
