Santa has to break in! I live in an apartment. BUT I looked at a house today that has the most awesome fireplace with the most beautiful chimney you ever saw ..LOL actually that was my favorite room in the whole house, I walked in and could have taken or left the home at anytime until I walked into that room I was speachless.

I' am a traditionalist I like traditions of all sorts and believe they should be passed on down the lineage as to not be forgotten. we learn from our past so we shouldn't ever forget it. good or bad there is always some sort of lesson in there.
 
 

Old fashioned traditional Christmas or New Age adoption?

LOL yes I know of the whole Bath Water thing but that wasnt so much a tradition as it was the water was not piped in hot as it is today, back then they had to lug it in buckets which needed to be heated to fill a nice hot tub of water now can you imagine heating all that water the time it would take? and the time it would take to lug it bucket by bucket? who has that kind of time when you have to make a living and provide for the family, I can imagine thats why so many took to using wash basins and getting a wipe down or why so many didnt bathe regular.

 

Sugar Cookie or Chocolate Chip (keeping with christmas traditions)

I love Turkey and use to make both for christmas, but the rule of thumb is HAM since you have turkey at thanksgiving. My Mother has gotten away from the triditional Christmas Dinner and adapted her NEW TRADITION which is to have foods that you love and don't make weekly as her Christmas Meal sort of a hodge podge of favorites depending on whos attending she has been doing this for about 8-9 years now since I' am planning on coming this year she is asking I make her Sweedish Meatballs LOL one year I made her my egg-rolls as well as the meatballs she generally has this huge spread of food without a real theme anymore other then the table itself is very festive and of course all the christmas sweets that she has made forever for friends and neighbors etc.
