Ugh!


Here we go again


Katrina should turn into a Cat.1 hurricane before it hits us tonight....providing it doesn't stall out and intensify


We bought a generator a few months ago, so at least we can keep the A/C and fridge runnig this year...I have my shutters up and gassed up since yesterday (before the pumps ran out today)


THe biggest PLUS....I don't have a brother in law staying with us this year


I can already feel the barometric pressure affecting my vertigo....

Florida may be paradise at times, but with the frequency of storms the past couple of years it would be hard to convince me it's worth living there. Batten down the hatches and stay safe, my friend. You must be a pro at handling these by now. Hopefully she'll lose her bluster and taper off. The storm I mean, not tdd.

we lost power at 5pm Thurs....but this is the first chance I got to sit down and relax


Generator is blasting away...MoFo makes so much noise, but it is keeping my fridge and two window A/Cs going....which I switch off for a few minutes to check in with y'all


no major damage...we got the worst of the wind, but relatively no rain


Got to drag out the MREs and taste them for the first time....if armies travel on their stomachs...we be in deep dookie.  MRE's are pretty gross, fun to make, but salty and chemicall tasting


Well, got to put the A/C back on...so Ciao for now

We are better off than those without generators....BUT...enough is too much !!!!


I WANT THE POWER BACK ON and pronto!!!!!


it's costing us about $30 a day to run the noisy contraption....5 gallons lasts about 11 hours

Sheesh. I saw the line-ups for water on the news. Only two stations for a whole country? People were burning a whole tank of gas just waiting.

Got our eletric back yesterday at 6pm....Lost it at 5pm thurs.


the elation was thwarted by my car pissing out radiator fluid *AGAIN as I got home to find the work crew in da'hoodI


t feels so good to turn on  alight switch and have it actually light  


* I had recently had changed the bottom hose of my radiator...only to find it needed the water pump and other related items , which I got fixed a week ago. ...good news is, it was a heater hose and they didn't charge me to fix it (TGFSF)


To Krissy: Hope y'all is OK and also that you fare well through your surgery

forgot to mention that as I ran inside the house to get my glasses to see where the fluid was pissing from, I tripped over Brandy Lee and hit my jaw on the corner of the dinning room table as well as a nice big rugburned ahd bruised knee.


Ultra sound and a chiro adjustment today help put humptDD together again

hmm, hate to say it but down here the news is saying Biloxi got crunched. I am a bit worried about Krissy's house (thinks Krissy is smart enough to get out of Dodge) as her street only has a golf course between it and the Gulf.

Hope we hear from her soon.

Ouch, tdd! Be more careful! Damn critters. They probably think you're a battered wife at the hospital and tman will get dirty looks everywhere he goes now!
